Make Way For Kentucky’s Brand New 15 Year Aged Bourbon ‘Forged Oak’

Marking its fifth release, Orphan Barrel Whiskey Distilling Company have proudly unveiled the “Forged Oak”. This exquisite Kentucky Straight Bourbon has aged for 15 years in a charred American oak, offering incredible stark contrasts in its colors and aesthetic features. The seducing-ly delightful packaging showcases an intricately brushed and hand crafted metallic label with silver antique hues and a uniquely embossed design.

The whiskey itself was produced between 1997-1998  at the renowned New Ternheim Distillery, before being stored for 15 years in Louisville, Kentucky. Hand-bottled in Tullahoma, Tennesee, the Forged Oak is now available for your sipping pleasure. Now, how about we talk about the taste?

We’re looking at 86% corn, 7% barley and 6% rye, offering a unique and succulent palate. Cedar, maple, custard and madagascan vanilla bean caress your nose from the get-go with subtle aromas of cocoa and ripe berries coming into play shortly afterward. On the palate you’re getting a heavy hit of charred oaky wood, dark cocoa and succulent berries, combined with a powerful finish of deep black cracked pepper. One word: Wow.
