This September R&B Distillers are shipping off to new lands and opening the first whiskey distillery on the small Isle of Raasay. This Hebridean island is located near Scotland, off the East Coast of Skye, and is only a wee fourteen miles in length. Why this uncommon location you ask? Well, co-founders Alasdair Day and Bill Dobbie are bringing a long-sought dream of crafting the most innovative, and probably the most scenic, Scottish whiskey distillery to life. The distillery is being housed in a refurbished and fully renovated gothic villa hotel and combines the best elements of ancient history and contemporary distillery design. The site will be furnished with two copper pot stills that will be able to produce up to 150,000 bottles of single malt Scotch whiskey per year all made from local ingredients.

This distillery encompasses the sprit, history and terroir of the island while boosting its economy and offering visitors the chance for a truly unique whiskey drinking experience with stunning views and local allure. So book your trip now to the Isle of Raasay and prepare for adventure!
