BELSAZAR: Redefining Enjoyment of Vermouth

Sometimes some things that have become classic staples need to be altered to reach a new level of elegance. BELSAZAR was founded in 2013 and since has used high quality German wines to produce a vermouth that is expertly blended with a secret selection of botanicals and fruit brandies and is then aged for months in stone casks to enhance and preserve the complex flavors. This is the re-definition of the way vermouth is seen in the UK.

Now, with their new limited-edition launch, BELSAZAR Riesling joins the other exquisite vermouths: Rosé, Dry, Red and White. The Riesling edition is fragrant and fruity and celebrates the classic grape and the ecotic Azores pineapple that come together for a delicious taste that is refined by the established VDP family winery – Dr Loosen, who have been producing wine for over 200 years. The Azores pineapples grow on volcanic stones and can take 18-24 months to mature, which is what creates an intense and fragrant flavor on the nose. The palate has subtle notes of grapefruit, peppermint and classic vermouth bitterness, resulting in a balanced harmony between the sweet fruit and the slightly tart finish. This fresh and light vermouth has that light acidity that is very Riesling, which furthermore allows it to taste amazing mixed in cocktails or served neat over ice. There are only 4,000 bottles worldwide so be on the lookout for a purchase!
