Volpaia Chianti Classico Riserva 2012
Produced, barreled and aged in one of Italy’s oldest castles and one of the most historic Chianti regions in not only Italy, but the planet. What a gorgeous and traditional Chianti– sour cherries with a beautiful meadow berry twist. Slight tannins that fade into a raspberry/strawberry compote and even longer into the finish. Very impressive indeed, this is tradition and heritage at its finest.
