Apollonio: Salice Salentino Mani Del Sud (2010)
Very enjoyable and something a little different. It’s a big boy, make no mistake – a robust dark cherry and blackberry bomb heavy an oak but balanced well with acidity. The perfect combination if you like something with a big oomph to it. Cedar oak, licorice, plums and a slight tartness. Decant for an hour and only pour half, save the other for the next day – you’ll thank me.
