The Dalmore 45, A 45 Year Malt Worth the Wait

For over 100 years, one name has been synonymous with luxurious whisky and one name has been the definitive single malt whisky distiller since 1839. So it comes as no surprise that The Dalmore is adding one more fantastic selection to its prestigious repertoire. But this release will be truly limited and sought after, as only 500 bottles will be released worldwide. Ladies and gentlemen, master distiller Richard Paterson is proud to give you, The Dalmore 45.

This 45-year-old single malt comes from the mind of world renowned master distiller Richard Paterson, who has been the driving force behind The Dalmore’s successful range of whisky for nearly 50 years. Combining some of the distillery’s rarest aged liquids inside of two vintage pipes dated from 1961 and 1963 respectively, this single malt has been described by its creator as “flawless perfection”, and one sip will have you nodding your head in agreement. The Dalmore 45 is filled with layers of complex, smooth flavors of red berries, hazelnuts that blend together with hints of chocolate and honey. Aromas on the nose are filled with wonderful notes of molasses and blood oranges, while the finish is swimming in sweet flavors of toffee pudding, apples, and juicy dates. Truly complex, showcasing the flavors obtained from the whisky’s time spent in American oak ex-bourbon cask, and absolutely delicious. To top it all off, The Dalmore 45 is captured inside of a beautiful hand-blown crystal decanter adorned with The Dalmore’s signature Royal Stag emblem. The Dalmore 45 is a worthy addition to an already impressive collection.
