NATIONAL CHOCOLATE DAY
It’s National Chocolate day, otherwise known as the one day we celebrate more than our birthday! To help keeps things sweet and set on track we’re sharing with you one of our favourite choc packed recipes… the Sweet Potato Brownie.
Ingredients
- 30g sweet potato
- 15g gluten free flour
- 20g Chocolate whey protein powder
- 20g egg white
- 20g Greek yoghurt
- ½ tsp vanilla essence
- 10g cocao powder
- 1tsp desiccated coconut
- 1 tstp maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 5g cacao nibs
Method
1.Fill a large saucepan with water and bring sweet potato to the boil
2.Mix together the dry ingredients (gluten free flour, cacao powder and chocolate whey protein powder, pinch of salt)
3.Add the sweet potato to the mixture, followed by the Greek yoghurt and egg whites, vanilla essence and maple syrup.
4.Stir in the desiccated coconut and cacao nibs as well as the orange zest and cinnamon.
5.Bake in the oven at 180 degrees, for 10 minutes
6.Leave to cool and enjoy!
