Vertice: Two Visions in One Spirit

Ventisquero separate their wines from their finest wines on their website. Vertice is among the very finest. It began with a meeting of two winemakers, Felipe Tosso and John Duval, at the highest point of the Robleria Vineyard in the Apalta Valley. The two concocted a unique blend of Carmenere and Syrah, a combination of two visions into one spirit that delivers the best of each element.

Vertice is deep red in color with vibrant violet hues. The nose is rich with black fruit including blackberries that blend with gentle spices and earthy notes of the native forest and a subtle hint of graphite. Vertice has a firm structure balanced with silky tannins. The ripe black fruit, spicy flavors, and high acidity make for a persistent and lingering finish. Though the wine begs to be enjoyed immediately, Vertice has the potential to age for 8 to 10 years. The wine pairs exceptionally well with spicy dishes like Indian, Thai, and Spanish cuisine.
