Chardonnay, meet Bourbon

When two beautiful entities come together, there is always a celebration. Bourbon Barrel-Aged Chardonnay Monterey County 2015 is the first and only Chardonnay that blends the California winemaking craftsmanship with the Southern tradition of Bourbon Whiskey aging. The 2015 harvest across the board was smooth, running from September through October. The cool growing season with warm days and cool nights resulted in fruit that showed a great balance of acidity and sugar with optimal color and flavor development.

The rich, golden wine holds an overall incredibly bold sensory expression that opens with strong aromas of ripe pineapple and toasted coconut with hints of toasted marshmallow and vanilla bean custard that is sure to make you crave a s’more. The flavors consist of grilled pineapple, lemon custard, graham cracker, toffee and vanilla bean with baking spices and a hint of toasty oak. The lingering finish is just as lovely as the first impression that is rich, creamy and concentrated with balanced acidity. Perhaps after buying this Robert Mondavi wine, you’ll grill some halibut or make some shrimp scampi with some bacon-wrapped dates and enjoy a wonderful summer day.
