ANCHORAGE BREWING CO. ANADROMOUS

It provokes wild obsession in some and perplexes others, but the Anchorage Brewing Company Anadromous Black Sour Ale will leave an impression regardless. This Black Sour Ale is triple fermented and aged in Pinot Noir wine barrels where it mingles with Brett, Lacto and Pedio- brewers’ lingo for a concoction of different yeasts and bacteria that are responsible for the distinctive edge of sour acidity and lingering creaminess. The Anadromous was aged for two years, and once this batch is gone, it’s gone. We think that’s reason enough to track down a bottle and try it for yourself.

Drink Me Magazine Review 94 /100
“Black sour ale is anything but conventional. The initial touchstones of a stout, then roasted coffee and chocolates gently subside as a tart, white wine acidity playfully reveals itself. The end result: a truly unique beer drinking experience. 8.50% ABV” -BJ
