2017 Chivas Masters Global Champion: Omedetou Gozaimasu Suzuki San!

Atsushi Suzuki, a Japanese native now serving as a successful bartender in China, was crowned winner of the 2017 Chivas Masters Global Champion. Chivas Masters is a week-long tournament in which bartenders worked both individually and in groups to create the world’s most impressive cocktails. However, this competition is not just about the drinks, but about the camaraderie, knowledge, and care these bartenders displayed throughout the week. Suzuki’s winning drink, “The Double Talk” included Chivas Regal, the world’s first luxury whiskey, as well as Campari, Vermouth, and Matcha tea salt. Upon learning of his win, Suzuki said “…it’s not just for me, but for my awesome team of Haydée and Ryan, and my sensei, Iain. I’ve found friends for the rest of my life through the Chivas Masters – and I’ve learnt how to be a better bartender too.” Congratulations Atsushi Suzuki!
