Hola Verdejo!
Only 9000 bottles produced, organically made and spending eight months in French oak makes for one hell of a Verdejo. This is an absolutely stunning expression of a varietal that rarely sees any oak, but I must say in this instance it really adds something that you wouldn’t normally expect and its bloody marvellous!
A creamy malo infested nose, with wonderful sweet honeyed aromas, dried apricots, lemon peel and some fancy florals thrown into the mix as well, as if it wasn’t evocative enough! Really moreish, really seductive, just beautiful. It’ll have you swirling and sniffing for an eternity. The palate is overly citrusy at first, but settles quickly and the more you explore, the more that is revealed; dried fruits, zesty, waxy, a little grassy and vegetative and packing a hell of a punch.
Full intensity of both aroma and flavour, medium plus body, medium plus acidity, with a long, dry, elegant finish. A truly brilliant wine.
