If you still think of rye as old fashioned, it’s possible you’ve been out of the cocktail loop as of late. Riding on the small batch bourbon train, rye whiskey has become a bit of a cult favorite, boasting a little more kick than its smooth, vanilla sibling. Lock Stock & Barrel 13 Year Straight Rye Whiskey is the ultimate expression of why rye has grown over 40% in the last couple years- it’s got real character. Rob Cooper, of St-Germain fame, got a hold of a rare cache of a 100% rye from a Canadian distillery and patiently let it age (a stronger man than us) for 13 years before releasing. Lucky for us, the time has come. When this stash is gone, it’s gone.

“Smelling up the room like a holiday party with aromas of baked peaches, poached pears, cinnamon stick, and cola. Its deep amber color and hefty body unleash a delicate side of cedar, light smoke, and palate cleansing peppermint.” -JA
