The Big easy lies at the foot of street 172, it is not the last bar on these street, that honor falls to an Ethiopian restaurant as my Khmer friend joyful corrected me on, although different terms were used.
What is the Big Easy?
It’s classic sports bar with lots of screens that show football, rugby, the grand-prix and any other major event that is being shown at the time in the country. Sadly it was largely closed during the Euro’s, as it would have made a better and cheaper alternative to Score Bar.

The food at the Big Easy
An English western style pub menu in essence, they even had a roast diner for $6 when we visited, but alas it was over by the time we had arrived. In the end a beef salad and bangers and mash were had. Very good quality, more expensive than in the north of 172, but far better quality.
The drinks at the Big Easy 172
Beers are about a dollar, but form 6-10 pm they have a two for one happy hour, with means VERY good Long Island Iced Teas for $2 a pop, it is worth coming in just for this, particularly as it is usually when the football is on too.

And generally they make a good cocktail a relative rarity for Street 172 Phnom Penh.
The overall vibe at he Big Easy
The English managers here are very chill, but he current opaque bar regulations make life rather hard. While sitting here it is not uncommon to see the police and military drive buy watching your every move.
The clientele are better than most places on 172, but there are still freelancers hanging around to help lonely gentlemen expunge their money.

Until cheers on Street 136 reopens this is the best place t watch sports in Phnom Penh, maybe not the screens, but for overall value.
