If you’ve experienced an Amari, this is Greenbar Distillery’s Californian take on it, packed full of flavorsome ingredients from the Golden State. An initial sip will give you a plethora of floral, herbal and citrus-based notes. There’s a distinct bitter-sweet floral element that pulls everything together, combining freshness and depth as the mid-palate brings forth grapefruit, lemon zest and clementine rinds. This is an incredibly moreish spirit that will hold up exceptionally well in cocktails and I anticipate it would work well with everything from white wine to gin, especially as a substitute spirit within a negroni.
